Instructor Profiles Technical Training L.L.C. is very proud of our instructors and invite you to review their backgrounds and experience. Please feel free to call with any questions or for further information regarding our instructors or any of our courses. 

Milton Westlund, Jr. - President of Technical Training L.L.C. Milt has over 19 years of technical training background and has taught technical education classes at the industrial level, the collegiate level and at the high school level. A graduate of Indiana State University, with academic honors, Milt has both a B.S. and an M.S. degree in Industrial Technical Education. The courses he has designed and implemented over the years have been very successful in the training of industrial maintenance personnel. The combination of education and hands on experience have made the courses designed by Milt an ideal fit for industry. Milt's expertise, energetic personality and interaction with the students always ensures the highest level of success in the classroom. 

William V. Davis - Bill is a very accomplished instructor of Industrial classes and displays a real knack for giving the students what they want and need to know. Bill has a B.S. from Purdue University and an M.S. from Bloomington in addition to 44 years of teaching experience. Bill remains a vibrant energetic instructor who maintains a professional classroom atmosphere. The many requests we receive to have Bill back again are a tribute to his preparation, delivery and overall teaching abilities. His combination of technical training combined with years of hands on experience have make him an ideal instructor for any maintenance person. Bill is highly skilled in a variety of industrial classes and is a students' favorite. 

George Price - George is an instructor who has a lifetime of experience to share with industrial maintenance personnel. After attending college to be an engineer and was drafted for a stint in the service, George spent 40 years doing all sorts of industrial maintenance. George's experience ranges from working in a factory environment to working in a job shop to owning his own business. George is one of our newest instructors who brings a lifetime of experience to the classroom. His speaking ability has been honed over the years of serving in various capacities in civic organizations. George is becoming a highly requested instructor. 

Ronald Burroughs - a Senior Technical Training Specialist with an extensive background in Material Handling Equipment and Manufacturing processes. Consistently successful in delivering training to increase production, quality, performance and profitability.
As a Senior Technical Training Specialist at the Training Division of Daimler Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Ronald has developed and taught courses on material handling equipment maintenance and manufacturing processes to meet individual plant needs and corporate requirements. These courses included: Operator training for Aerial Work Platforms and Forklifts Technical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Powered Industrial Vehicles Automated Storage and Retrievable Systems

Gene Wogoman - Gene has 35 years experience as a Machine repairman and Machine tools specialist with Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems, manufacturer of auto air conditioning compressors. His extensive real world and teaching background are a few reasons he is so valuable to the student. As a team leader, his 7 years of self directed machine rebuild team, rebuilt and re-tooled 50 + machines with savings in excess of $5 million. As a Vibration analyst he led the planned / predictive maintenance group, utilizing vibration analysis, thermography, laser alignment, fiber optics and ultrasonic from 1989-2002. His work as a specialist also included installations and de-bugging new machine tool lines. We are excited to have Gene as one of our instructors. 

Mel Amundson - Mel has focused in the electrical industry for the past 25 years. For 14 years he worked as an electrical project consultant, working directly with commercial and industrial utility customers and as an electrical maintenance instructor. He has for the past 11 years been involved in the electrical construction industry and is a Journeyman electrician. He has also developed and delivered courses in electrical maintenance, National Electrical Code, AC & DC Motors, VFD's, Electrician Journeyman and Masters Test Preparation, and many other electrical areas. Mel's instructional abilities have also led to his demand as an instructor on the college level, his having taught at the University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, and IVY Tech State College. He is a graduate of Purdue University and holds two Masters from the University of Evansville, MA in Graduate Studies and a Masters in Business Administration. He is also a certified Power Engineer in steam plant operation. Certified in Electrical and Hydraulic Skill Testing by NOCTI. Mel's broad range of knowledge acquired from working in the field has proven him to be the type of instructor that can teach students everything from basic to the advanced levels to the Electrical curriculum offered by Technical Training L.L.C. 

Lawrence (Law) Battis - Lawrence brings 19 years experience as a welding instructor to Technical Training L.L.C. Mr. Battis has 31 years experience as a welder, he is AWS, ASME and API code certified pipe and plate various alloys. He has been an AWS, CWI for 17 years and an AWS CWE for 8 years. Law also brings a wealth of knowledge as a Journeyman boilermaker and Journeyman Millwright delivering and developing courses in mechanical trades. Students fortunate enough to work with Mr. Battis receive a complete understanding of the subject renewing confidence and enthusiasm. 

Rick Monday - Rick has been in the CNC manufacturing industry for 18 years. Starting in an automotive production environment and then moving to a defense contractor that produced guidance systems for various governments around the world. In 1992, he then went to work for a machine tool distributor as an applications engineer. Today he teaches programming machine applications to the manufacturing industry. He is fluent in the Fanuc, Okuma, Yasnac, and Mitsubishi controls. 

John Rowbotham - John holds a degree from University of Cincinnati in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Education from Arizona State University. PLC, CNC and AutoCAD are his primary focus for training for the past 25 years. A PLC-5 and SLC-500 instructor since 1998, John has delivered many successful on-site PLC-5 & SLC-500 training classes. Fluent in RSLogix 5 & 500 software, John also provides plant start-up on-site assistance and designs ladder logic and interface programs. John's technical career began in 1975 as a communications engineer providing a wide range of engineering tasks for clients in the telecommunications field throughout the US. John's experience also includes interfacing A-B PLCs to many switching systems. 

Jeff Chase - Jeff was formerly affiliated with Oakland Community College. He has been involved in providing Fire Service and Industrial Training since 1976. Jeff has taught Industrial Safety, Fire Science, Emergency Medical Service, Hazardous Materials, Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Protection Systems, Fire Alarm Systems Chemistry, and Equipment Safety & Operation (Forklift, Man-lift and Crane). He has taught for Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Chrysler and many smaller companies in and out of Michigan. Since November of 1999 Jeff has been the training leader of a Spill Mitigation and Emergency Response team for a major chemical manufacturer in the Detroit area. Responsibilities include training, development of an Emergency Response crew, ISO 14000 compliance, Hazmat management and advising EMS and Fire Brigades. Jeff is a Certified Instructor for the Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council and licensed by the Department of Public Health as a Paramedic and Emergency Medical Services Instructor / Coordinator. In the summer of 1997, Jeff was contracted to teach Pre-Hospital and Emergent Care in Tirana, Albania by the United States Department of State. He is also an Instructor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Department of Justice at the National Fire Academy and is a certified Course Designer. Jeff also is an associate professor in the Fire Science curriculum at Macomb Community College. Jeff is a graduate of Wayne State's Labor Studies program and is currently working toward a masters degree in Safety Engineering.
